I was incredibly thrilled to stumble upon this innovative feature by Google. The excitement led me to include it in my latest blog post for Revenue Rendezvous, aiming to raise awareness among others. This feature enables companies, much like mine, to now put data and effectively monitor their carbon dioxide emissions. 

Allow me to shed light on why this topic was top of mind. While working on a project for a client Beyond Green, an eco-conscious luxury hotel brand with properties worldwide I had the opportunity to delve into various metrics and explore how the company tracks its environmental impact. My role involved transforming their annual survey data into an easily understandable format while uncovering compelling narratives within the data that would assist them as they produced an environmental impact study for their group of hotels.

This experience significantly expanded my understanding of the metrics employed by hotels to measure their carbon footprints. It also instigated contemplation on how consulting companies like ours, specifically catering to the hospitality sector, can effectively gauge their own environmental impact. Unlike hotels, we lack the luxury of cultivating our own products or directing our office employees to install solar panels. However, Google has recently introduced groundbreaking reporting tools that enable companies of all kinds to monitor their environmental impact and CO2 emissions.

With platforms like Google Workspace, which facilitates virtual collaboration and meetings, we can now closely monitor our energy usage and the associated carbon emissions, propelling our company towards positive changes. This not only empowers us to make a difference but also aligns with our firm commitment to reducing our environmental footprint. It's an exciting step towards a greener future.
